KIMBERLY KAY VINESETT

Founder/Director of SON Ministries

Born February 19, 1965 in Pittsburgh, PA, Kim was raised in a christian home and came to salvation at a young age. She graduated from high school in New Jersey and attended Philadephia University graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management.

Soon after graduating she married and set out for Orange County California with her new career. Kim's marriage was struggling after the birth of two daughters, Krysta Kimberly and Cassandra Kimberly. So Kim gave up her career to be a stay mom to raise her children and work on her marriage. She invested her time into her local church and ministered to young moms through BSF, Mothers of Preschoolers, Moms in Touch, and Awanas.

After an 18 year long battle with her husband's addiction she left sunny California through the prompting of the Holy Spirit to come to SC. Her estranged husband followed months later, he committed a violent crime and was incarcerated. This was the lowest point of her life as she divorced, took the role of provider, mother and father and grieved the loss a godly family.

Through the valley she kept faithful, attended church, Awanas and believed Romans 8:28-And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. God was faithful to provide all of their needs through her employment and the body of Christ. She soon met Terry Vinesett then Captain of the Fort Mill Police Department and a deep friendship was formed for several years. They married 3 years later in 2007, creating their own Brady bunch with Marcie, Terry Jr., Matt, Jennifer, Nick, Krysta and Cassie. It was then Terry introduced Kim to Pastor Ricky D. Cope, a long time friend, who sang at their wedding and was starting a new church, Trinity Baptist Church, now in Indian Land, SC.

After years of working and achieving several awards for managing Victoria's Secret, Kim realized God had bigger plans than making money for her company and family. She left her career to devote heself to serving God full time in August in 2012. She volunteered at the Salvation Army Shelter weekly, Pilgrims Inn, DD Soup Kitchen, and Renew Our Community. Kim found her calling, helping the homeless, addicted and broken. She started a van service for the homeless of Fort Mill with the partnerships of ROC and Bruce McKaegan, which prompted the start of SON Ministries-"Serving Our Neighbors" in July 2013.

Quoted by Kim, "I have had the greatest joy to see addicts come to Christ and reclaim what satan had taken. Those with no hope, suicidal and discarded by society are being healed and restored."

"My message is simple, we are all broken and sick with sin, but Jesus came to pay the price. If we believe in Jesus as our Savior, humble ourselves and repent, He will clean our mess and bring peace to our lives."

Matthew 19:26-But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Joel 2:25-And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
